About Phillip Saldana-Bailey

Hello. My name is Phillip and I make businesses work better. My background is in IT management and digital transformation. I am a certified ISO 27001 Lead Implementer, a certified ISO 27001 Lead Auditor and a certified Cyber Essentials Assessor.

I have significant experience in implementing cyber security assessment and transformation programmes, as well as designing and delivering comprehensive information and cyber governance programmes. I have worked with clients across the public, private and third sectors, in a range of industries, at businesses with varying levels of information security maturity, including London councils, NHS trusts, medical device manufacturers, insurance companies, major high street retailers and fintech startups.

I live in Leicester, East Midlands, where I work as an independent technology consultant, through my technology consultancy, Rockthorpe. I specialise in planning and delivering SaaS procurement and implementation, optimising existing business processes, and assessing and responding to cyber security risk.

I manage the end-to-end procurement processes for Software as a Service (SaaS) applications, including migration and configuration. I develop transformation strategies and plan their execution.

I streamline business processes by putting activities and value streams under the microscope. I always seek to improve the customer and employee experience – applying consumer IT trends within the enterprise allows me to provide a best-in-class user experience.

I secure businesses against cyber security risks. By assessing organisations against nationally and internationally recognised cyber security frameworks, I evaluate current cyber security practices and identify opportunities for improvement, developing roadmaps and mitigation strategies.

I have happily contributed to case studies for Adobe DS e-Sign Services and the social business software Jive, as well as speaking as a customer at an Okta conference.

I read French and German Studies at the University of Warwick, spending my year abroad in Strasbourg, on a British Council Assistantship, and in Berlin, at the Sprachenatelier Berlin language school. Learning to express myself simply and clearly has proven invaluable throughout my career.
